Help the Texas Youth Word Collective reach their goal of promoting youth participation in reading and writing through poetry as a means of combating illiteracy. TYWC is a non-profit literacy outreach program established in 2004 to:

- speaking, and performing skills
- • Foster, nurture, and showcase young writers
- • Build a sense of community across diverse ethnic, racial
- and socio-economic lines
